Explore examination fees for ISoM's graded qualifications, diplomas and specialist pathways. All fees are shown in pounds sterling (GBP).
Graded Examinations and Diplomas
The following standard examination fees apply to these regulated qualification families:
- Music Performance
- Music Theory
- Creative Music Production and Composition
- Creative Industries Practice
Music Performance includes instrumental and vocal disciplines. Creative Music Production and Composition includes Music Production & Technology and Music Composition. Creative Industries Practice includes specialist Visual Arts pathways.
Graded Examination Fees
Music Performance, Creative Music Production and Composition, and Creative Industries Practice are available from Step 1 to Grade 8. Music Theory is available at Grades 1–8.
Standard Diploma Examination Fees
The following diploma fees apply to Music Performance, Creative Music Production and Composition, and Creative Industries Practice qualifications.
Music Performance qualifications may be assessed live or through recorded submissions. Music Theory is assessed by written examination. Creative Music Production and Composition and Creative Industries Practice are assessed through portfolios of evidence.
Performing and Creative Arts Professional Practice is a separate regulated qualification family with its own examination fees, shown below.
Performing and Creative Arts Professional Practice
ISoM Performing and Creative Arts Professional Practice qualifications support specialist professional development from RQF Level 3 to Level 7.
These qualifications are assessed through a portfolio of evidence and include specialist regulated units.

Professional Practice Examination Fees
The following fees apply to the regulated Performing and Creative Arts Professional Practice qualifications.
The Qualification Number (QN) identifies the overall regulated qualification. Specialist regulated units identify the particular Professional Practice pathway completed.
The qualification levels and credit values shown above correspond to the regulated Performing and Creative Arts Professional Practice qualifications.
Creative Industries Practice – Visual Arts
ISoM Creative Industries Practice qualifications provide a regulated progression pathway from Step 1 to Fellowship level.
These qualifications are assessed through a portfolio of evidence and include specialist regulated units.

Graded Examination Fees
Creative Industries Practice follows the same standard UK graded examination fee structure as other ISoM graded qualifications.
Creative Industries Practice Diplomas
Creative Industries Practice qualifications are also available from Level 4 to Level 7. The same standard UK diploma fees apply to the specialist Visual Arts pathways.
