Live online music and performance exams

Breaking down the barriers to music education for everyone.

A proven methodology – over 85,000 examinations delivered worldwide.

The International School of Musicians (ISoM) is offering students the opportunity to take their music and performance exams online, so they can continue with their education. The ISoM Performing Artist Graded (PAG) examination is the first of its kind. It is designed to provide a genuine assessment for learning opportunity through performance. ISoM PAGs allow candidates to understand and develop their learning to help them achieve their musical and performance aspirations; a progressive learning pathway from novice to accomplished performer.

A learning and examination experience, tailored to maximise your potential.

ISoM has created a learning pathway of lessons and graded examinations that provides assessment for learning (AFL) through an entirely flexible online solution so students can connect with an examiner anytime, anywhere. They can take their exams anytime whenever they are ready, all they need is an internet connection and access to a computer.

Free resources

The ISoM Performing Artist Graded Examination (PAG) assessments align with the current KS1 and KS2 National Curriculum for music. These examinations provide externally validated evidence of music learning within your school. The results can be used as part of your ongoing assessment data. Unlike other graded exams, ISoM supplies all music books, schemes of work, videos, backing tracks and play-along tracks free of charge, providing candidates with the know-how and skills to complete their qualifications confidently.
